What We Do

“What do you do?” Great question!

At Lighthouse Association Management, we provide a centralized office to serve as your association’s headquarters through a shared time management system.

“What did she just say…?” Exactly. We’ve heard that response before, but don’t panic, though our model sounds complicated it’s really very simple—greater value to your members and lower expenses than you have now because, by sharing capacity you gain capacity.

Now you may be asking, “Why didn’t you just say that??” I’m not sure. Let’s move on.

Shared time management increases your capacity for success by allowing you to reduce your overhead costs by sharing them with other association clients at Lighthouse—this will increase your resources and capabilities without major capital investment. Sounds genius, right?

Not only do you get to reduce your overhead expenses, but based on the concept of shared resources, specialists are drawn from the pool of Lighthouses’ personnel and assigned on an as-needed basis. We have experienced professionals who are able to execute assigned tasks cost effectively for clients and allow client services to be customized to meet specific goals. All of this allows you to leverage your limited resources to provide your membership with the greatest range of high quality services.

Some typical results you can expect Lighthouse to bring to your organization:

  • Cost effective leadership and operations
  • A team of experienced service-focused professionals
  • Enhanced growth and success
  • Reduced risk of human resources challenges: what would happen tomorrow if your programs coordinator won the lottery tonight…Are you ready?
  • Superior resource allocation
  • Improved financial monitoring and organization
  • Flexibility: finally offer your association the programming you’ve always wanted—but lacked the time, energy, money and know-how to execute.

For example…

A member services coordinator produces your monthly newsletter or annual report while an events director oversees the direction of your next annual meeting or trade show. Simultaneously, a research team is created to assist with special projects and additional support staff is utilized to help with executing a new membership program. Your association pays only a portion of those specialized staff members’ hours as part of your customized management fee. The staff specialists work on the tasks and you, the client association, benefit from their professional expertise for a fraction of what it would cost you to hire that diverse group of talented individuals as full-time staff.
